    摘要: An illustrative motor drive assembly is configured for use in a lockset comprising a case, a longitudinally movable link, and a catch configured to move among a locking position and an unlocking position in response to longitudinal movement of the link. The illustrative motor drive assembly includes a longitudinally extending shaft comprising a worm, a motor operable to rotate the shaft, a driver engaged with the worm, and a longitudinally extending spring. The spring is not directly engaged with the worm, and includes a first end coupled with the driver and a second end connectable with the link. Engagement between the worm and driver is configured to longitudinally move the driver in response to rotation of the shaft.

    摘要: An anti-barricading thumb turn assembly is configured for use with a lockset including a bolt movable to lock and unlock a door. The anti-barricading thumb turn assembly includes a spindle connected to a thumb turn with a biasing member on one side of the lockset. The lockset is also operable by a key from the other side of the door to lock and unlock the door. Under normal operation, the spindle and thumb turn rotate as the bolt is locked and unlocked. In a barricading situation in which the thumb turn is held to attempt to attempt to prevent the spindle from rotating, the biasing member allows the spindle to rotate relative to the thumb turn upon application of sufficient force through rotation of the key to overcome the biasing force and unlock the bolt even if the thumb turn is held stationary.

    摘要: A handleset includes a housing, a spindle sleeve, a handle, a coupler, and a spindle. The spindle sleeve includes an aperture, and is rotatably mounted to the housing. The handle is mounted to the spindle sleeve and includes a recess aligned with the aperture. The coupler is movably mounted in the aperture for movement between a decoupling position and a coupling position. The coupler in the coupling position is disengaged from the recess and does not prevent removal of the handle from the spindle sleeve. The coupler in the coupling position extends into the recess and prevents removal of the handle from the spindle sleeve. The spindle is movably received in the spindle sleeve and selectively retains the coupler in the coupling position.
