    Abstract: A pre-assembled module for a variable-stroke valve drive of an internal combustion engine is provided. The module includes a base plate having at least one projecting guide plate, an e-linear actuator positioned on the projecting guide plate, and a longitudinally guided push rod with two adjusting fingers extending along a wall of the guide plate. Each respective adjusting finger has a contact surface for displacement of a transverse coupling slide of a switchable cam follower. A rocker arm, having first and second arms, is suspended on an underside of the base plate; the first arm in contact with an adjusting pin of the linear actuator; and, the second arm in contact with the push rod for displacement thereof in a first direction. A spring means for displacement of the push rod in a second direction is arranged between the push rod and the guide plate.

    Abstract: A preassembled module for a variable-lift valve drive of an internal combustion engine is provided for installation into a cylinder head. The module has a base plate with an electric linear actuator which lies on an upper side of the base plate. A guide plate, which lies on the upper side, has an outer side wall arranged to guide a slide piece. The guide piece extends below the base plate two downwardly pointing actuating fingers. Each respective actuating finger has a contact surface for moving a transverse coupling slide of a switchable rocker arm. The slide piece has a bracket which protrudes over the guide plate with a contact landing arm which runs transversely relative to the electric linear actuator. An actuator-side end of the contact landing arm is in contact with an actuating pin of the electric linear actuator to move the slide piece.

    Abstract: A switchable finger follower for a valve train of an internal combustion engine includes an outer and an inner lever, which at a first longitudinal end run pivotably relative to one another via respective bores on a common shaft. At this longitudinal end, the finger follower has a gas-exchange valve contact face on an underside. The outer lever has a pivot bearing on the underside at a further longitudinal end, and at least the inner lever has a cam running face on an upper side. The inner and outer levers are connectable to one another via at least one coupling slide, which spans a separation area between the levers. The outer and inner levers are braced relative to one another via a cam return spring, and the shaft is connected to the bore of the outer lever by an interference fit. To mount the inner lever relative to the shaft without radial play but in a rotatable fashion, the bore of the inner lever includes, in its semi-circular segment facing the upper side, a pointed arch composed of two circular arcs as contact means.

    Abstract: A hydraulic support element for a variable valve train of an internal combustion engine, which has a cylindrical pot-shaped housing and a hollow cylindrical piston guided for movement in this housing and whose inner end is supported by a compression spring on the base wall of the housing. The outer end extends past the housing and is formed as a hemispherical bearing head. The interior is divided into an inner supply pressure space and an outer switching pressure space that are connected by inlet openings in the cylindrical side walls of the housing and the piston with a cylinder head side supply pressure line and by a non-return valve to a high-pressure space enclosed between the inner end of the piston and the base wall of the housing, or to a cylinder head side switching pressure line and also by a central hole formed in the bearing head to a rocker arm side switching pressure channel. To prevent the entry of harmful particles into the supply pressure space and/or the switching pressure space of the piston, the piston has a ring-shaped recess in its cylindrical side wall in the area of the inlet openings on the outside in the radial direction, and a filter element constructed as a ring filter is inserted into the ring-shaped recess of the piston with an axial positive-fit connection.

    Abstract: A hydraulic support element for a variable valve train of an internal combustion engine, which has a cylindrical pot-shaped housing and a hollow cylindrical piston guided for movement in this housing and whose inner end is supported by a compression spring on the base wall of the housing. The outer end extends past the housing and is formed as a hemispherical bearing head. The interior is divided into an inner supply pressure space and an outer switching pressure space that are connected by inlet openings in the cylindrical side walls of the housing and the piston with a cylinder head side supply pressure line and by a non-return valve to a high-pressure space enclosed between the inner end of the piston and the base wall of the housing, or to a cylinder head side switching pressure line and also by a central hole formed in the bearing head to a rocker arm side switching pressure channel.
