    Abstract: An electronic device according to various embodiments of the present disclosure may comprise: a wireless communication module including wireless communication circuitry; a first housing; a second housing coupled to the first housing to be able to slide; a flexible display comprising a first display area visible when the second housing is in a slide-in state with regard to the first housing, and a second display area visible when the second housing is in a slide-out state with regard to the first housing; a memory; and at least one processor, comprising processing circuitry, operatively connected to the wireless communication module, the flexible display, and the memory. At least one processor, individually and/or collectively, may be configured to control the electronic device to: display a first application in the first display area based on the second housing being in a slide-in state with regard to the first housing, display, at a first location in the first display area, a notification received from an external electronic device using the wireless communication module, generate a state change icon at a second location in the first display area based on reception of the notification, switch the second housing from the slide-in state to the slide-out state based on the state change icon being touched, and display a second application corresponding to the notification in the second display area.

    Abstract: An electronic device includes a housing, a flexible display, a camera, and a processor. The housing includes a first housing and a second housing coupled to and movable with respect to the first housing. The flexible display including an exposed area that is a first size when the electronic device is in a first state and a second size when the second housing moves and the electronic device is switched into a second state. The processor is configured to acquire an image having a designated aspect ratio through the camera. The processor is also configured to display a first area of the image on the exposed area corresponding to the first size when the electronic device is in the first state and display a second area of the image on the exposed area corresponding to the second size when the electronic device is in the second state.

    Abstract: According to certain embodiments, an electronic device comprises: a flexible display; at least one sensor configured to sense changes in a size of a viewable portion of the flexible display; at least one processor operatively connected to the flexible display and the at least one sensor; and a memory operatively connected to the at least one processor, wherein the memory stores instructions that, when being executed, cause the at least one processor to perform a plurality of operations comprising: displaying a first screen on the flexible display; sensing a change in the size of the viewable portion of the flexible display through the at least one sensor; displaying a list comprising at least one selectable item in at least a partial region of the flexible display during the changing of the size of the viewable portion of the flexible display; detecting that the changing of the size of the viewable portion of the flexible display has stopped; in response to detecting the size of the viewable portion of the flexible display has stopped, displaying the first screen corresponding to the viewable portion of the flexible display with the changed size; and in response to returning of the size of the viewable portion of the flexible display to an original size without completing the change in the size of the viewable portion of the flexible display, displaying a second screen corresponding to a selectable item while the size of the viewable portion of the flexible display changes, among items included in the list, on the viewable portion of the flexible display having the original size.
