    Abstract: A portable electronic device may include: a first housing; a second housing disposed to be slidable with respect to the first housing; a flexible display in which a display area of the display is contracted or extended on the basis of slide-in or slide-out driving of the second housing; a motor for generating driving force to slide the second housing; a driving circuit for driving the motor; and a processor(s). The processor(s) may: configure the display area of the flexible display as an activation area for displaying visual information; recognize that a consistency problem occurs in an application execution screen when switching from the slide-out state to the slide-in state on the basis of occurrence of a slide-in trigger for contraction of the activation area while displaying the application execution screen on the activation area in the slide-out state; and provide a user interface to allow extension of the activation area on the basis of the occurrence of the consistency problem.

    Abstract: According to various embodiments, an electronic device may comprise a housing, a plate coupled to the housing to reciprocate, a flexible display including a first portion disposed on the plate and a second portion extending from the first portion and exposed to an outside or retracted into an inside of the housing as the plate reciprocates, a motor configured to move the plate, at least one electronic component, a battery, and at least one processor. The at least one processor may be configured to identify an event for triggering a movement of the plate, identify a first power of the battery and a second power for controlling the flexible display and the at least one electronic component, based on the event, identify a third power for controlling the motor, based on the first power and the second power, and provide the motor with a signal corresponding to the third power.

    Abstract: An electronic device includes: a first housing; a second housing movably coupled with respect to the first housing; a flexible display; a first vibration motor in the first housing; a second vibration motor in the second housing; and at least one processor. The at least one processor: receives a touch input through a display region of the flexible display; in response to the touch input, identifies a first distance between the position of a contact point of the touch input and the first vibration motor, and a second distance between the position and the second vibration motor; and adjusts, on the basis of the first distance and the second distance, the strength of vibration provided through the first vibration motor and the second vibration motor so as to provide a haptic notification.
