Abstract: An image processing apparatus, an image processing method, and a computer readable recording medium are provided. The image processing apparatus includes a communication interface unit configured to receive video content, and a genre conceiver configured to extract feature information of an arbitrary frame of the received video content and to conceive a genre of an updated frame with reference to the extracted feature information in response to the frame being updated.
