Abstract:
A method and apparatus for estimating battery life are provided. A method of estimating battery life may involve estimating first status information of a battery based on battery information acquired from the battery, estimating second status information of the battery using a partial cycle model corresponding to a battery degradation pattern for a partial cycle, and calculating the battery life based on a comparison between the first status information and the second status information.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for monitoring battery state are provided. A method of monitoring battery state involves collecting vibration information based on a signal from an acceleration sensor, calculating a cumulative impact based on the vibration information, and estimating a degree of damage to a battery based on the cumulative impact.
Abstract:
A method of analyzing data related to a driving range estimation of a vehicle includes collecting attribute data related to the driving range estimation of the vehicle, analyzing a correlation between the attribute data and a driving range of the vehicle, generating a vehicle driving range estimation model based on the analyzed correlation, and analyzing a sensitivity between the vehicle driving range estimation model and the attribute data.
Abstract:
A battery charging and discharging apparatus includes power converters connected in series and configured to convert respective output voltages of batteries corresponding to the power converters. Each of the power converters may include direct current to direct current (DC/DC) converters connected in parallel. The apparatus may further include a controller configured to control magnitudes of respective output voltages of the power converters based on respective states of the batteries.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a camera system included in a vehicle. The camera system comprises: a camera provided to a vehicle so as to capture the surroundings of the vehicle; and a processor for identifying an object present near the vehicle on the basis of an image captured by the camera, wherein the camera comprises a wide-angle lens, and a plurality of optical sensors for capturing a region within the viewing angle of the wide-angle lens, the wide-angle lens being designed so that the number of optical sensors for capturing a region corresponding to a predetermined angle range, among a plurality of angle ranges formed by dividing the viewing angle into predetermined angles, differs from the number of optical sensors for capturing a region corresponding to a different angle range.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for controlling cooling of a battery pack are disclosed, in which the method includes determining a load state of the battery pack and selectively controlling a supply of a cooling fluid to cooling paths disposed among battery cells included in the battery pack.
Abstract:
An apparatus for estimating a state of charge (SOC) of a battery in an electric vehicle is provided. The apparatus may include a driving history data storage configured to store driving history data for each category among categories generated based on a frequency of appearance of road data, a driving profile generator configured to categorize road data associated with a driving route for each of the generated categories and generate a driving profile with respect to the driving route based on the driving history data corresponding to the categorized road data, and a battery SOC estimator configured to estimate the SOC of a the battery with respect to the driving route based on the driving profile.
