Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication scheme for combining an IoT technology and a 5G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate beyond a 4G system, and a system therefor. A timing advance controlling method according to the present disclosure comprises the steps of: selecting a cell on the basis of a signal received from a base station; selecting one coverage class from a plurality of coverage classes in the selected cell; selecting one timing advance value from a plurality of timing advance values determined in advance on the basis of the selected coverage class; and determining an uplink transmission point on the basis of the selected timing advance value, and transmitting uplink data at the determined transmission point.

Abstract: Various embodiments of the disclosure provide a method and apparatus for processing a voice command in an electronic device. According to various embodiments of the disclosure, the electronic device includes a microphone, a memory, and a processor operatively coupled to the microphone and the memory. The processor may be configured to wake up on the basis of detection of a voice call command, calculate a score related to recognition of the voice call command, share the score with an external device, decide whether to execute a voice command on the basis of the score, and process the voice command on the basis of the decision result. Various embodiments are possible.
