Abstract: The disclosure relates to a 5th generation (5G) or 6th generation (6G) communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. A method of UE for camping on a network entity is provided. The method includes receiving, by the UE, an information block from one of one or more network entities, determining, by the UE, if the indicated capability of the network entity or the corresponding security level are compliant with capability and security level requirement of the UE for camping, and camping by the UE, on the network entity when the indicated capability or the corresponding security level supported by the network entity is determined to be compliant with the capability and the security level requirement of the UE using the compliant type of cryptography technique.

The method includes determining a plurality of DSS parameter, determining a resource split between at least one bearer of a plurality of bearers of the LTE cell and at least one bearer of a plurality of bearers of the NR cell based on the plurality of DSS parameters, determining optimal key performance indicator (KPI) parameters for an overlapped LTE cell and NR cell combination based the resource split, and applying optimal tuning parameters on the overlapped LTE cell and NR cell combination in the wireless network based on the optimal KPI parameters.

The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology. A method of handling control plane data in a wireless network. The method comprises sending, by a user entity (UE), a non-access stratum (NAS) message along with an indication data to a mobility management (MM) core network entity. The MM core network entity processes the received NAS message and the indication data. The MM core network entity determines status of network congestion upon processing the processed NAS message. Sending, by the MM core network entity, a response to the UE based on at least one of the processed indication data and the determined network congestion.

A method performed by a terminal for dynamic data encryption in a communication system is provided. The method includes receiving, from a network entity, a list of network public keys including a plurality of network public keys and corresponding key indexes, generating a pair of keys including a user equipment (UE) public key and a UE private key in response to receiving the list of network public keys, randomly selecting a network public key from the list of network public keys received from the network entity, generating a shared secret key corresponding to the UE by using the randomly selected network public key and the UE private key, and encrypting data to be transferred between the UE and the network entity by using the generated shared secret key corresponding to the UE.

Abstract: The embodiments herein achieve a method and a UE for enabling a transport layer optimization using a preemptive cross layer signaling. The method includes transmitting at least one information to the NR L2 receiver for the transport layer optimization for a data flow(s). The at least one information includes at least one of a configuration for requesting a buffer status of the NR L2 receiver, a policy to inspect data packets of the data flow(s), a configuration for enabling or disabling the transport layer optimization, a retransmission timeout (RTO) and a round trip time (RTT) of the data flow(s), an impending RTO value of the data flow(s) and a threshold value of a buffer size. Further, the method includes enabling the transport layer optimization based on the at least one information received from the NR L3 receiver to avoid receiving of duplicate data packets from a TCP sender.
