A display apparatus for a video call is provided. The display apparatus includes a display configured to display a first image received from an external apparatus; a communication unit configured to receive a second image generated by capturing a user while the first image is displayed; an image processor configured to detect a point of gaze of the user from the second image; and a controller configured to determine whether the point of gaze is located in a preset region of the first image and control the communication unit to transmit the second image or a third image that is obtained by editing the point of gaze in the second image to the external apparatus based on a determination result.

An object detection apparatus is provided. The object detection apparatus includes a storage configured to store a plurality of detectors respectively trained to detect an object from different viewpoints; an image receiver configured to receive an image captured by an image capturing apparatus from a viewpoint, wherein an object is captured within the image; and a controller configured to detect the object in the image by applying a detector corresponding to the viewpoint from which the image is captured from among the plurality of detectors.
Abstract:
A method of certifying a user is provided. The method includes: generating a learning system; if a reference image is registered, analyzing the reference image by using the learning system to detect characteristic information; storing the detected characteristic information; photographing a user to acquire a user image; analyzing the user image by using the learning system to detect face characteristic information and additional information of the user; and comparing the face characteristic information and the additional information with stored characteristic information to certify the user. Therefore, a user certification is accurately performed.

A display apparatus is provided, which includes a motion recognition unit which recognizes a motion of an object that is located outside the display device, and a control unit which, when the motion of the object is recognized, determines a change amount that varies according to a motion speed or a motion distance of the object, and performs an operation which corresponds to the motion of the object according to the change amount. The display apparatus includes a storage unit which is provided to store biometric information of an individual user and metadata corresponding to the biometric information; a biometric information input unit through which biometric information of a plurality of users is input; a display unit; and a controller which determines metadata corresponding to a first user by comparing the input biometric information of the first user with the stored biometric information, determines metadata corresponding to a second user by comparing the input biometric information of the second user with the stored biometric information, and generates information of a user group comprising the first and second users based on common metadata between the metadata of the first user and the metadata of the second user.

A pose classification apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a first image analyzer and a second image analyzer configured to estimate a body part for each pixel of an input image including a human body, a body part decider configured to calculate reliabilities of analysis results of the first image analyzer and the second image analyzer, and configured to decide the body part for each pixel of the input image based on the calculated reliabilities, and a pose estimator configured to estimate a pose of the human body included in the input image, based on the decided body part for each pixel.
