    Abstract: Disclosed is an image sensor that includes a pixel array including first pixels sharing a first floating diffusion region and second pixels sharing a second floating diffusion region, a first analog-to-digital converter, a second analog-to-digital converter, and a switch circuit. In a first mode, the first analog-to-digital converter processes the first pixels, and the second analog-to-digital converter processes the second pixels. In the second mode, the first analog-to-digital converter processes a first image component of a pixel signal of the first pixels, and the second analog-to-digital converter processes a second image component of the pixel signal of the first pixels. An HDR image is implemented based on processing results of the first analog-to-digital converter and the second analog-to-digital converter.

    Abstract: An image processing method of an image signal processor includes obtaining a first estimated image by interpolating signals output from first color pixels, among a plurality of unit pixels included in a pixel array, in a first direction, obtaining a second estimated image by interpolating signals output from the first color pixels in a second direction, intersecting the first direction, detecting a first artifact component in the first direction with respect to pixels included in the first estimated image, detecting a second artifact component in the second direction with respect to pixels included in the second estimated image, obtaining a first weight based on at least a portion of the first artifact component and the second artifact component, and generating a first output image from the first estimated image and the second estimated image using the first weight.

    Abstract: An image sensor includes a plurality of pixels configured to receive an optical signal incident through a first lens portion; a planarization layer that has a same refractive index as a refractive index of the first lens portion; a second lens portion that is configured to classify the optical signal incident through the first lens portion according to an incidence angle, and is configured to deliver the optical signal to each of the plurality of pixels; and image processing circuitry configured to generate a subject image by combining one or more subimages obtained from the optical signal, wherein the planarization layer is arranged between the second lens portion and the plurality of pixels.
