A multi-thread processor and a method of controlling a multi-thread processor are provided. The multi-thread processor includes at least one functional unit; a mode register; and a controller configured to control the mode register to store thread mode information corresponding to a task to be processed among a plurality of thread modes, wherein the plurality of thread modes are divided based on a size and a number of at least one thread that is concurrently processed in one of the at least one functional unit, allocate at least one thread included in the task to the at least one functional unit based on the thread mode information stored in the mode register and control the at least one functional unit to process the at least one thread.

Provided are a reconfigurable processor and a method of operating the reconfigurable processor. In the method, configuration data is requested to access based on virtual addresses, and accessing of the configuration data by using a processor core is controlled to read the configuration data from addresses of a configuration memory mapped to the virtual addresses.

Exemplary embodiments disclose a method for generating an assertion based on a user program code. The method may include receiving a user program comprising at least one assertion directive, a compiled result of the user program, and architecture information of a processor, and generating, based on the compiled result of the user program and the architecture information of the processor, an assertion which states an operation that the processor needs to perform in accordance with a code of the user program indicated by each of the at least one assertion directive.
