Abstract: A display apparatus is provided. The display apparatus includes: a video processor which, in a multi-view mode, processes a plurality of contents and generates a plurality of content views, a display which displays the plurality of content views, a sync signal generator which generates a sync signal regarding the plurality of content views, a communicator which transmits the sync signal, and a controller which, upon communicating with a glasses apparatus, transmits information on a target content view which is controllable from among the plurality of content views to the glasses apparatus. Accordingly, a newly-connected glasses apparatus may be directly synchronized with a target content view.

Abstract: Disclosed is a display apparatus capable of receiving a remote control signal from a remote controller for a different apparatus and outputting a converted remote control signal and a control method thereof, the display apparatus including: a display configured to display an image; a communicator comprising communication circuitry; a signal receiver configured to receive a remote control signal from among a plurality of remote controllers respectively corresponding to a plurality of external apparatuses; and a controller configured to perform a function corresponding to an image displayed on the display in response to a command included in the received remote control signal, or to control the communicator to transmit the command to an external apparatus selected corresponding to the image displayed on the display from among the plurality of external apparatuses. Thus, the display apparatus receives a remote control signal from a remote controller for controlling an external apparatus, and uses the received remote control signal to directly perform a function or transmit a command to an apparatus desired to be controlled by a user, thereby allowing the user to easily use the remote controller.
