The electronic device includes memory storing one or more computer programs, and one or more processors communicatively coupled to the memory, wherein the one or more computer programs include computer-executable instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the electronic device to detect, based on a voice command obtained from a user, candidate objects in a viewing region of the user, determine a representative property among candidate properties of the detected candidate objects, output, for each of the detected candidate objects, feedback based on a property value of the representative property of a corresponding candidate object, and determine, based on obtaining an additional command that specifies a property value of the representative property from the user, an object indicated in the voice command as a candidate object having the property value of the representative property specified by the additional command.

An intelligent server for processing a user utterance is provided. The intelligent server includes a memory configured to store context information including information on electronic devices and information on domains corresponding to the electronic devices, and a processor configured to, based on a target utterance received from any one of the one or more electronic device and the context information, generate combinations of electronic device information and domain information capable of processing the target utterance, determine reference information for processing the target utterance among the context information, and calculate a quality of service score for each combination referring to the reference information, determine a target combination of a target electronic device and a target domain corresponding to the target electronic device based on the quality of service score, and transmit a command to process the target utterance with the target domain, to the target electronic device.

Provided is an electronic device including a first processor, a second processor, and a memory that stores at least one artificial neural network (ANN) including an input layer and an output layer and operatively connected with the first processor and the second processor. The first processor receives a request to train the ANN, performs a forward propagation operation by inputting input data into the input layer of a first ANN of the at least one ANN, and stores, in the memory, first result data generated based on the forward propagation operation. The second processor performs a backward propagation operation by inputting the first result data into the output layer of a second ANN of the at least one ANN, and updates weights included in the second ANN based on the backward propagation operation. Besides, various embodiments as understood from the specification are also possible.

An electronic device for providing one or more items to a user in response to a user speech and a system therefor are provided. The electronic device and the system search one or more items in response to a user's voice command related with a search of an item. In case where items are searched, a user performs various activities related with the items. The items each include objects. The electronic device and the system identify an object that is used when the user identifies at least one item (for example, an item preferred by the user) among the items from the activity. By matching the identified object and a feature of the identified object, the electronic device and the system determine a user's preference related with a search of an item. The identified preference is used for sorting of the items.

The present invention relates to methods and apparatuses for providing guide information for a camera. An image is collected through the camera. The image includes a subject illuminated by a light source. An optimized direction is determined for the light source relative to the subject. Guide information is generated that specifies an adjustment of the light source relative to the subject for achieving the optimized direction for the light source. The generated guide information is outputted to provide a visual, audible, or tactile indication.
