Abstract: An electronic device such as an accessory-mountable robot is provided. The electronic device changes functional properties thereof in accordance with a mounted accessory. In an embodiment, the electronic device detects mounting of at least one accessory and identifies accessory characteristics associated with the at least one accessory. Then, the electronic device determines properties of the electronic device associated with the at least one accessory, based on the accessory characteristics, and changes the properties of the electronic device, based on the determined properties. Also, the electronic device outputs at least one of a visual element, an auditory element, or a tactile element associated with the at least one accessory, based on the changed properties.

Abstract: A method and electronic device for displaying an augmented reality (AR) object recognized by the electronic device are provided. The electronic device includes a display, a memory including stored instructions, and at least one processor. The at least one processor is coupled with the memory and the display. The at least one processor is configured to execute the stored instructions so as to identify a first object on a preview acquired from a first camera, and display a first AR object related with the first object on the preview, and in response to obtaining an input for converting from the first camera to a second camera, store information about the first AR object, and display a second AR object which is related with a second object comprised in a preview of the second camera and the information about the first AR object, on the preview of the second camera.
