Abstract: An electronic device includes a display; a camera; a memory; and a processor operatively connected to the display, the camera, and the memory where the memory stores instructions which, when executed, enable the processor to determine a number of at least one source frame per unit second based on a specified maximum exposure time, receive light reflected from an external object by using the camera, for an exposure time determined according to a specified exposure value, generate source frames based on the received light, and generate a time-lapse image including at least one target frame indicating movement of the external object based on source frames, and the instructions cause the processor to generate the source frames at a speed different from a speed at which the time-lapse image including the at least one target frame is played.

The electronic device comprises: a first image sensor and a second image sensor; and a processor which alternately performs a first image capture mode, in which a plurality of captured images are acquired by controlling the respective exposure times of the first image sensor and the second image sensor differently, and a second imager capture mode, in which a plurality of captured images are acquired by controlling the respective exposure times of the first image sensor and the second image sensor identically, identifies an object by using the plurality of captured images acquired in the first image capture mode, and acquires distance information about the identified object on the basis of the plurality of captured images acquired in the second image capture mode.

Abstract: Various embodiments of the present invention comprise: a first image sensor for acquiring a first image of an external object; a second image sensor for acquiring a second image of the external object; and a processor, wherein the processor is set so as to: acquire, through the first image sensor, the first image by using a first setting related to an exposure for the external object; acquire, through the second image sensor, the second image by using a second setting related to the exposure, during the operation of acquiring the first image; select one corresponding setting from among the first setting and the second setting on the basis of at least the first image or the second image; and acquire, through the first image sensor or the second image sensor, a third image of the external object on the basis of at least the one corresponding setting, thereby enabling an entry time of a dual camera mounted on a rear surface of an electronic device to be reduced. Other various embodiments are possible in addition to the embodiments disclosed in the present invention.

Abstract: Provided is an image processing method for an electronic device having a camera module. The image processing method may include: acquiring a first image with a first exposure time by using a first pixel group; acquiring a second image with a second exposure time shorter than the first exposure time by using a second pixel group; determining whether the difference between the first exposure time and the second exposure time is greater than or equal to a preset threshold; acquiring, if the difference between the first exposure time and the second exposure time is greater than or equal to the preset threshold, a third image with a third exposure time by using the second pixel group; and generating a high dynamic range (HDR) image by combining the first to third images.
