    Abstract: A backlight unit is described. The unit includes a light emitting array having a plurality of light sources configured to emit light, and a printed circuit board on which the light sources are arranged; a light guide film configured to guide light emitted from the light sources in one direction; a color conversion layer configured to convert light that has passed through the light guide film into light of a specific color; and an optical member disposed on the color conversion layer. The light sources include first light sources arranged on a first row of the printed circuit board, and second light sources arranged on a second row of the printed circuit board. The first light sources are spaced apart from each other by a predetermined distance, and the second light sources are spaced apart from each other by the predetermined distance.

    Abstract: A display device includes: a display panel; a light guide plate which guides light to the display panel including first and second side surfaces opposite to each other; a light source module disposed along the first side surface of the light guide plate; a mold frame disposed along the second side surface of the light guide plate; a bottom chassis which accommodates the light source module, the mold frame and the light guide plate, including a first sidewall facing the first side surface of the light guide plate and an extension portion which extends from the first sidewall to overlap an upper surface of the light guide plate; a first adhesive member disposed between the extension portion and the display panel; and a second adhesive member overlapping an upper surface of the light guide plate and an upper surface of the mold frame.

    Abstract: A display device and a manufacturing method of a display device are provided. The display device comprises: an optically functional layer including a wavelength conversion material; a display panel disposed on the optically functional layer and having at least one side which protrudes outward from an edge of the optically functional layer; and a sealing member surrounding a side surface of the optically functional layer and disposed such that at least a portion of the sealing member is in contact with a lower surface of the protruding portion of the display panel, wherein the sealing member includes a light shielding material that substantially blocks visible light.
