    Abstract: A display device includes a display panel divided into a first display area and a second display area in a first direction, a first data driver which provides a first data signal to the first display area through data lines arranged in a second direction crossing the first direction, a second data driver which provides a second data signal to the second display area through the data lines arranged in the second direction, a gate driver which provides a gate signal to the display panel through gate lines arranged in the first direction, a timing controller which generates control signals that control the first data driver, the second data driver, and the gate driver, and a defect detector which controls to display a defect detecting image and a reference image on the first display area and the second display area alternately based on an enable signal.

    Abstract: A display apparatus includes: a display panel which displays an image; a data driver which supplies a data voltage to the display panel in response to a polarity control signal, where the polarity control signal controls a polarity of the data voltage; a timing controller which outputs a polarity signal corresponding to a polarity of the data voltage; and a polarity converter which receives a common voltage from a common electrode of the display panel and the polarity signal from the timing controller, where the polarity converter outputs the polarity control signal to the data driver in response to a difference in voltage level between the common voltage from the common electrode and the polarity signal from the timing controller.

    Abstract: A display device includes a controller to generate a start frame control signal having a first level in an active period and a second level in a blank period, a load signal toggling between the first level and the second level in the active period and having the second level in the blank period, and a data signal including image data in the active period and a training pattern in the blank period, and a data driver to recover the image data from the data signal based on an internal clock signal to provide display pixels with data voltages in the active period, and to perform a training operation for the internal clock signal using the training pattern in the data signal when both of the start frame control signal and the load signal are maintained as the second level for more than a reference time in the blank period.
