Abstract: A voltage converter includes a first switching element, a second switching element, and a forced maintaining circuit. The first switching element is configured to operate based on a switching control signal. The second switching element is connected to the first switching element. The second switching element is configured to operate based on the switching control signal in a synchronous mode and operate in a diode mode in an asynchronous mode. The forced maintaining circuit is connected to the second switching element and configured to maintain the asynchronous mode for a forced maintaining period after entering the asynchronous mode.

Abstract: A DC-DC converter includes: a first converter including a pass transistor coupled between the first node and a first output, and a body diode connected in parallel to the pass transistor; a sensor coupled between both ends of the pass transistor and which detects a driving current; and a second converter which outputs a second power voltage lower than the first power voltage to a second output. The second converter includes a master inverting converter which outputs the second power voltage independently of the driving current, a slave inverting converter which outputs the second power voltage when the driving current is greater than a predetermined threshold or when the input power voltage is greater than a predetermined boosting voltage limit, and an inverting converter controller which controls operations of the master and slave inverting converters in first and second drive modes based on the driving current and the input power voltage.

Abstract: A direct current to direct current converter includes a first voltage converting circuit which converts an input voltage into a first power supply voltage, a control block which stores information about voltage levels of a second power supply voltage, receives an external control signal, and generates a voltage level selection signal indicating a first one of the voltage levels, a second voltage converting circuit which converts the input voltage into the second power supply voltage having the first one indicated by the voltage level selection signal, and an abnormal state detector which detects an abnormal state of a display panel, and provides a current limit signal to the control block when the abnormal state is detected. In response to the current limit signal, the control block generates the voltage level selection signal indicating a second one of the voltage levels regardless of the external control signal.

Abstract: Disclosed is a display device which includes a voltage generator including a first converter that generates a first voltage using an input voltage and is shut down in response to a shutdown signal and a short circuit protection part including a first short circuit protection part that compares an output voltage of an output terminal of the first converter with a first reference voltage and outputs the shutdown signal. The first converter pre-charges the output voltage to a predetermined voltage level during a first period, maintains a level of the output voltage during a second period subsequent to the first period, and boosts and outputs the output voltage as the first voltage during a third period subsequent to the second period. The first short circuit protection part outputs the shutdown signal when the output voltage in the second period has a level lower than that of the first reference voltage.

The output inductor includes a first terminal connected to the first switching element and the second switching element and a second terminal outputting the pixel power supply voltage. The power compensator receives an input voltage and adjusts a power supply voltage applied to a power supply terminal of the first amplifier.
