    Abstract: A display apparatus includes a substrate, a pixel arranged in a display area of the substrate and including a light-emitting diode configured to emit light in a first mode, and a photo sensor arranged in the display area of the substrate and configured to receive, in a second mode, light reflected from an external object and receive external light in a third mode. The first mode is triggered by a signal to display an image, the second mode is triggered by reflection from the external object, and the third mode is triggered by absence of the signal to display an image and reflection from the external object.

    Abstract: A display apparatus includes a substrate including an emission area and a sensing area, a plurality of light-emitting devices disposed on the substrate and overlapping the emission area, and a plurality of light-receiving devices disposed on the substrate and overlapping the sensing area. Each of the plurality of light-emitting devices includes a pixel electrode, an emission layer disposed on the pixel electrode, and an opposite electrode disposed on the emission layer. Each of the plurality of light-receiving devices includes a sensing electrode, an active layer disposed on the sensing electrode, and an opposite electrode disposed on the active layer. At least one of the plurality of sensing electrodes has a structure that is different from a stacked structure of the pixel electrode, and the sensing electrode includes a transparent conductive layer.

    Abstract: An electronic device includes a base layer and a display element layer including a pixel definition layer having an opening defined therethrough, a light emitting element, and a light receiving element. Each of the light emitting element and the light receiving element includes a first electrode, a hole transport region disposed on the first electrode, an electron transport region disposed on the hole transport region, and a second electrode disposed on the electron transport region. The light emitting element includes a light emitting layer disposed between the hole transport region and the electron transport region. The light receiving element includes a light receiving layer disposed between the hole transport region and the electron transport region and an electron extraction layer, including an n-dopant material, disposed between the light receiving layer and the electron transport region. The light receiving element converts a light incident thereto into an electrical signal.
