Abstract: A display device includes a display module, a light guide plate, a light source disposed at a side of the light guide plate in a first direction, the light source including light source units arranged in a second direction, and a condensing sheet including reverse prisms. The display module includes first and second polarizing plates facing each other, a display unit including a liquid crystal layer, and a light-conversion structure. In a plan view, the light source units include first and second light source units, which are parallel to third and fourth directions, respectively. The third and fourth directions are at angles of +45° and −45° to the first direction. Each reverse prism includes a base surface that is parallel to the plane and includes two sides parallel to the third and fourth directions, respectively.

Abstract: A display apparatus includes a display module including a light conversion member including a plurality of quantum dots, a backlight unit providing a first light to the display module, and an optical filter disposed between the display module and the backlight unit. The optical filter includes a transmission filter layer transmitting a light in the first wavelength range and a second wavelength range, reflecting a light in a third wavelength range, and having a first effective refractive index and a viewing angle control layer disposed between the transmission filter layer and the display module to couple the transmission filter layer and the display module and having a second effective refractive index equal to or smaller than the first effective refractive index.

Abstract: A display apparatus includes a light source which generates a first light, a display module which displays an image, a light guide plate disposed under the display module, and an optical filter disposed under the light guide plate to face the display module. The optical filter includes a filter layer which transmits a portion of the first light from the light guide plate and reflects a remaining portion of the first light except for the portion and an absorbing layer disposed under the filter layer to absorb the first light transmitted thereto through the filter layer. As an incident angle of the first light incident to the filter layer with respect to a normal line of an upper surface of the filter layer increases, an overlapping bandwidth between a reflection wavelength bandwidth of the filter layer and a wavelength bandwidth of the first light increases.
