Abstract: Provided is a display device including a display panel defining a folding area and a non-folding area and including a base layer, a circuit layer on the base layer, and a display element layer on the circuit layer, an input sensor below the display panel and defining a sensing area overlapping the non-folding area, and a light shielding layer between the display element layer and the input sensor, where the light shielding layer defines a plurality of holes in a first portion of the light shielding layer at the non-folding area, and a cut portion in a second portion of the light shielding layer at the folding area.

Abstract: A display apparatus includes a display, a frequency compensator, a frequency adjuster, and a driver. The display includes first, second, and third pixels to display an image having color information. The frequency compensator receives first, second, and third pixel data respectively corresponding to the first, second, and third pixels, converts the first, second, and third pixel data to hue data, and outputs a frequency control signal to change a current driving frequency of the display based on the hue data. The frequency adjuster changes the driving frequency to a predetermined compensation frequency in response to the frequency control signal and changes a frequency of image data and an image control signal such that the display is driven at the predetermined compensation frequency. The driver receives the changed image data and the changed image control signal and drives the display at the predetermined compensation frequency.
