    Abstract: A display apparatus includes a light source unit configured to output light, a display panel configured to display an image and including a first substrate, a second substrate facing the first substrate, and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, and a diffusion layer provided between the light source unit and the display panel and including scatterers for scattering the light supplied from the light source unit. The diffusion layer has a first concentration area in which the scatterers are provided at a first concentration, and a second concentration area in which the scatterers are provided at a second concentration.

    Abstract: Stages of a gate driver may each receive a clock signal, an inverted clock signal, a previous carry signal and a subsequent carry signal, and may each include an output part, a node controlling part and a holding part. In a mode transition period, clock signal and the inverted clock signal may both be temporarily applied with on voltages. The holding parts of the stages receive the clock signal and the inverted clock signal each having the on voltage, and in response, discharge the control nodes, the gate output nodes and the carry output nodes, thereby preventing faulty operation.

    Abstract: A pixel circuit includes a light emitting element including a first electrode and a second electrode, a first switching element including a control electrode, a second switching element, a third switching element, a sensing resistor and a fourth switching element. The second switching element applies a data voltage to the control electrode of the first switching element. The third switching element senses a signal of the first electrode of the light emitting element.     Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes a source device that outputs image data and a sink device that performs a displaying operation based on the image data. The source device changes a frame rate of an image frame composing the image data while the displaying operation is performed. The sink device changes a frame rate of a panel driving frame for the displaying operation by adjusting a vertical blank period of the panel driving frame as the frame rate of the image frame is changed. Here, the sink device adjusts a common voltage applied to a display panel included in the sink device during a display operation of an individual frame, in accordance with the frame rate of the panel driving frame.

    Abstract: A display device includes a display panel which includes a plurality of gate lines and a plurality of pixels, where each of the pixels is connected to a corresponding gate line among the gate lines, and a gate driving circuit which includes a stage that applies a gate signal to at least one of the gate lines. The gate signal includes a high period in which the gate signal has a high voltage and a low period in which the gate signal has a low voltage having a level less than a level of the high voltage, and the low period includes a falling period in which the low voltage falls to a second level from a first level which is greater than the second level.
