    Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate including an electrode structure layer defining a pixel and a switching device configured to switch the pixel, an opposite second substrate facing the first substrate and including a common electrode, and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first and second substrates. The electrode structure layer includes a coupling electrode, a first pixel electrode, a second pixel electrode, and an insulating layer disposed between the coupling electrode and the second pixel electrode. An absolute value difference between a first product RpCp of a resistance Rp and a capacitance Cp defined by the coupling electrode, the insulating layer, and the second pixel electrode, and a second product R2C2 of a resistance R2 and a capacitance C2 defined by the second pixel electrode, the liquid crystal layer, and the common electrode is less than or equal to 10.

    Abstract: A display device includes a display substrate, a liquid crystal layer disposed on the display substrate, a common electrode disposed on the liquid crystal layer, a first protection layer disposed on the common electrode, a polarizer unit disposed on the first protection layer, and a color conversion layer disposed on the polarizer unit. The polarizer unit includes a polarizing portion that polarizes light, and a blocking portion that blocks transmittance of light. The blocking portion is connected to the common electrode through a contact hole. The contact hole is an opening in the first protection layer.

    Abstract: A display device includes: a first substrate; a pixel electrode on the first substrate, the pixel electrode including separately formed first and second sub-pixel electrodes; a first thin film transistor (TFT) connected to the first sub-pixel electrode; a second TFT connected to the second sub-pixel electrode; a third TFT connected to one of the first and second TFTs; a gate line connected to the first, second, and third TFTs; a data line intersecting the gate line and respectively connected to the first and second TFTs; and a storage line, at least a part of the storage line spaced apart from and in parallel with the data line and connected to the third TFT. The first, second, and third TFTs may include a common gate electrode extending from the gate line.
