Abstract: A light-emitting element includes a second semiconductor layer, an active layer above the second semiconductor layer, a first semiconductor layer above the active layer, a first insulating layer surrounding side surfaces of the first semiconductor layer, the active layer, and the second semiconductor layer and an upper surface of the first semiconductor layer, and defining a first opening at the upper surface of the first semiconductor layer, a reflective layer surrounding side surfaces of the first semiconductor layer and the active layer and an upper surface of the first semiconductor layer on the first insulating layer, and a second insulating layer on the reflective layer and on a portion of the first insulating layer on which the reflective layer is not located, defining a second opening on an upper surface of the first semiconductor layer, and having one end having a step with one end of the reflective layer.

Abstract: An embodiment provides a pixel including: a first bank pattern on a substrate; a first electrode and a second electrode on the first bank pattern and extending in a first direction; an insulating layer on the first electrode and the second electrode; a plurality of light emitting elements on the insulating layer between the first electrode and the second electrode; a first contact electrode electrically connecting the first electrode and the light emitting elements; and a second contact electrode electrically connecting the second electrode and the light emitting elements. The first electrode and the second electrode may be spaced from each other in a second direction different from the first direction on the first bank pattern.
