摘要： An upright active-sitting seat provides a connection of a seating leg to a base through an articulating joint that allows the user to move a seat front to back and side to side, allowing a more active sitting that encourages blood circulation. The chair includes a seat supported by a post that is connected to a mount via a ball joint rod by a transverse rod that is routed through the ball joint rod end. By way of a coil spring that engages with the mount and the post, the post is spring biased to a home position relative to the mount. When using the chair, a person may move the seat from the home position to a comfortable seating position. When the person stands from the chair after using it, the chair returns to its spring biased home position.

摘要： A seat that can move between an upright position and one or more active positions is provided. The seat can have a base with a non-planar portion to wobble the seat into one or more wobble orientations, thereby permitting controlled pitching of the seat relative to a floor surface. The base can have one or more roll reduction pads to restrict roll in or about a roll axis perpendicular to a pitch axis about which the seat pitches. The seat can also have a post coupled to the base and a seat pan to provide a seating surface. The base can be weighted and can have a non-planar portion to wobble the seat into one or more wobble orientations. The roll reduction pads can extend radially outwardly from the apex of the non-planar portion. One or more pads can generally conform to contours of the non-planar portion of the base.

摘要： A seat cushion comprises a relief portion to selectively provide cushioning to a user's sitz bones received when the user is seated on a seating surface. The selective cushioning provided by the relief portion to the user's sitz bones can be greater than cushioning provided by the remainder of the seat cushion to portions of the user's body other than the sitz bones. The relief portion can be in the form of a pair of relief pockets offset to be depressed below the second surface. A resiliency of the relief pockets is different from a resiliency of areas of the second surface surrounding the relief pocket. The first surface and the second surface of the seat cushion can be contoured so as to form a central core, a relief portion substantially surrounding the central core, and an outer portion defined so as to surround the relief portion.
