Abstract:
An implement mounting assembly for mounting a work implement to a vehicle is mountable and operable using a retractable cable operatively connected to the vehicle. The implement mounting assembly includes a frame having a work implement support end and a vehicle attachment end, the frame defining a cable routing space, an attachment point to which the cable extending through the cable routing space is attachable, the attachment point being connected at the work implement support end of the frame, and an auto-release cable management assembly disposed longitudinally between the attachment point and the vehicle attachment ends of the frame. The auto-release cable management assembly includes a hook and a gate positioned with respect to the hook to be movable between an open position in which the hook is accessible to the cable and a closed position in which the hook is inaccessible to the cable.
Abstract:
A frame assembly for supporting an implement on a vehicle includes a support frame attachable to the vehicle, a lever pivotable on the support frame between a first and second positions, and a biasing assembly connecting the lever to the support frame. The implement is connectable to the lever via an implement support frame. The biasing assembly is movable between an extended position and a compressed position and is biased toward the extended position. The lever and the biasing assembly define an acute angle that opens toward the vehicle when the support frame is removably attached to the vehicle and the lever is in the first position.
Abstract:
The present technology generally relates to an auto-release cable management assembly for operating a work implement mountable to an implement mounting assembly of a vehicle, the auto-release cable management assembly comprising: a mounting structure connectable to the implement mounting assembly; the mounting structure forming a first underside guide surface for guiding a retractable cable operatively connectable to the vehicle; a hook connected to the mounting structure and suitable for retaining the retractable cable; a gate structured and positioned with respect to the hook to be movable between an open position in which the hook is accessible to the retractable cable, and a closed position in which the hook is inaccessible to the retractable cable; and a guide forming a second underside guide surface for guiding the retractable cable towards the hook and the gate.
Abstract:
A self-detaching support frame system for an implement designed to self-detach from a vehicle by actuation of a release handle located within arm reach of the driver is disclosed. The self-detaching support frame system for an implement allow the user to at least partially, preferably entirely, disengages the support frame assembly by activating a control, preferably a single control such as a handle located near the vehicle steering.
Abstract:
An attachment system for attaching an implement mounting assembly to a vehicle is disclosed. The attachment system includes a vehicle attachment component that is fastenable to a front portion of the frame of the vehicle, and a frame attachment component that is removably attachable to the vehicle attachment component on one end via a securing axis, and pivotably attachable to the implement assembly on another end about a pivoting axis. When fastened to the vehicle, the vehicle attachment component is located upward from the underside of the frame. When the frame attachment component is attached to the vehicle attachment component, the securing axis is located upward from the underside portion of the frame, and the pivoting axis is located downward therefrom.
Abstract:
A frame assembly for supporting an implement on a vehicle includes a support frame attachable to the vehicle, a lever pivotable about a first axis between first and second positions, and a biasing assembly connecting the lever to the support frame. A first end of the biasing assembly is supported against the lever to pivot about a second pivot axis being parallel to the first pivot axis and being vertically spaced relative to the first pivot axis when the support frame is removably attached to the vehicle and the lever is in the first position. A second end of the biasing assembly is supported against the support frame to pivot about a third pivot axis when the lever pivots about the first pivot axis. The third pivot axis is parallel to and is spaced from the first pivot axis when the support frame is removably attached to the vehicle.

Abstract:
An implement mounting assembly is mountable to a vehicle after having been positioned using a retractable cable. The implement mounting assembly has a frame defining a cable routing space, an attachment point to which the cable is attachable, and an auto-release cable management assembly including a hook, first and second underside guide surfaces for guiding the cable towards the hook as the cable retracts, and a gate. The gate is positioned with respect to the hook to be movable between open and closed positions in which the hook is accessible and inaccessible to the cable. The gate is biased towards the closed position. When a tension in the cable is above a threshold tension, the gate moves into the open position and the cable accesses the hook, and when the tension decreases to below the threshold tension, the gate moves towards the closed position releasing the cable from the hook.
Abstract:
A frame for supporting an implement (e.g. a plow) on a vehicle is disclosed. The support frame extends longitudinally and generally comprises, at its rear end, a rear attachment mechanism for removably mounting the support frame to the underside of the vehicle, and at its front end, a front attachment assembly for supporting the implement. The frame comprises a rear section and a front section hingedly connected together such that the front section can pivot upwardly with respect to the rear section. The support frame also comprises a biasing assembly or mechanism, generally comprising a resilient member engaging the front and rear sections, such as to downwardly bias the front portion. By overcoming the downward bias of the biasing assembly, the front section can be further raised with respect to the ground surface, thereby providing greater clearance.
