There is provided an information processing device 10 including: an interface control unit 140 that controls a user interface related to measurement of a head-related transfer function of a user, in which the interface control unit controls an output of guide information guiding a direction of a head of the user to a designated direction. In addition, there is provided an information processing method including: controlling a user interface related to measurement of a head-related transfer function of a user by a processor 871, in which the controlling of the user interface further includes controlling an output of guide information guiding a direction of a head of the user to a designated direction.

    Abstract: The present technology relates to an audio processing apparatus, a method, and a program that aim at enabling a sound to be reproduced more efficiently.A head-related transfer function synthesis section previously holds a matrix of a diagonalized head-related transfer function. The head-related transfer function synthesis section synthesizes an input signal in an annular harmonic domain for reproducing a sound and the previously held and diagonalized head-related transfer function. An annular harmonic inverse transformation section performs an annular harmonic inverse transformation on a signal obtained as a result of the synthesis by the head-related transfer function synthesis section on the basis of an annular harmonic function and thereby generates a headphone driving signal in a time frequency domain. The present technology is applicable to an audio processing apparatus.

    Abstract: The present technology relates to an HRTF measurement method, an HRTF measurement device, and a program which can more simply acquire a head-related transfer function of an individual.The HRTF measurement device displays an image indicating a target direction that a user is to face. In a case where a front direction of the user and the target direction are matched, the HRTF measurement device outputs a measurement sound from a speaker and measures an HRTF on the basis of a result of receiving the measurement sound through a microphone mounted on an ear of the user. The present technology can be applied to, for example, a device which measures a head-related transfer function and the like.

    Abstract: The present technique relates to an acoustic tube and an acoustic reproduction apparatus that can generate an evanescent wave at a lower cost. An acoustic tube includes an acoustic path longer than an external dimension of the acoustic tube and includes a plurality of opening portions or a slit-like opening portion. When a sound wave advances in the acoustic tube, sound waves are output from the plurality of opening portions or from a plurality of positions of the slit-like opening portion, and the sound waves are combined to form an evanescent wave. The present technique can be applied to an acoustic tube, an acoustic reproduction apparatus including the acoustic tube, and the like.

    Abstract: An in-the-ear device such as a binaural microphone and an earphone is provided. An in-the-ear device 300 is used while being inserted into a human ear (external auditory canal), examples of which include the microphone and the earphone. This in-the-ear device 300 includes an in-the-ear device main body unit 310 substantially round column-shaped and a cylindrical inner side insertion unit 320 provided to protrude from an end surface of the in-the-ear device main stomach body unit 310 on an inner side. The in-the-ear device main body unit 310 is inserted closer to the inside than a first curve of the external auditory canal. As will be described later, an end surface of the in-the-ear device main body unit 310 on an outer side forms a surface substantially same as that of a cavum conchae while being worn. In addition, in the inner side insertion unit 320, the in-the-ear device main body unit 310 is provided to protrude closer to the inner side than the first curve of the external auditory canal in order to be along the external auditory canal.

    Abstract: The present technology relates to signal processing device and method that make it possible to reproduce sound more effectively. A signal processing device includes a rotation operation unit that rotates a head-related transfer function in a spherical harmonic domain by an operation on the basis of a rotation matrix corresponding to rotation of a head of a listener, the operation in which an order of the rotation matrix is limited, and a synthesis unit that synthesizes the head-related transfer function after rotation obtained by the operation and a sound signal of the spherical harmonic domain to generate a headphone drive signal. The present technology is applicable to an audio processor.
