摘要: The present invention relates to high performance polymer compositions and articles made therefrom. In particular, the present invention relates to compositions (C1) comprising from 25 to 59 wt. % of at least one poly(aryl ether sulfone) (PAES), from 1 to 35 wt. % of at least one poly(aryl ether ketone) (PAEK), from 20 to 35 wt. % at least one polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), and from 5 to 50 wt. % of glass fibers, the wt. % being based on the total weight of the polymer composition (C1).

摘要: A polyaryl ether ether composition(C) and methods of uses thereof are herein disclosed. The composition comprises a polymer blend [blend (B)] consisting of: —a first polyaryl ether ketone (PAEK-1)and —a second polyaryl ether ketone (PAEK-2), wherein the (PAEK-1) is crystalline and exhibits a melting temperature Tm of 330 ° C. or higher and the (PAEK-2) is either amorphous or crystalline and exhibits a melting temperature Tm of 315 ° C. or lower and wherein the (PAEK-1) constitutes more than 0% wt of blend (B). Composition (C) can be used in particular for the manufacture of coated metal surfaces, in particular for the coating of wires or of (part of) electronic devices.

摘要: Described herein are polyphenylene sulfide (“PPS”) polymers having excellent transparency to infrared (“IR”) radiation. It was surprisingly discovered that PPS polymer composition including PPS polymers having a selected metal ion (Ca, K, and Mg) concentration at least 400 parts per million by weight (“ppm”), had significantly increase IR transparency, relative to corresponding PPS polymer compositions including a PPS polymer having a selected metal ion concentration less than 400 ppm. Additionally, described herein are methods for laser welding the PPS polymer compositions.

摘要: A laser-weldable composition and method using the same, said composition comprising at least one amorphous polyamide made from the polycondensation of at least an acyclic aliphatic diamine comprising at least 10 carbon atoms and/or at least an acyclic aliphatic diacid comprising at least 10 carbon atoms, and at least a phthalic acid selected from the group consisting of terephthalic acid and isophthalic acid, at least one flat glass fiber; and at least one organic dye which absorbs radiation at a wavelength from 800 to 1400 nm.
