Abstract: A system for overturning plate-shaped bodies, in particular slabs and sheets, having at least one overturn arm pivotally arranged about a pivot axis and can be brought into physical contact with a flat side of a plate-shaped body to be overturned, and at least one other overturn arm pivotally arranged about another pivot axis and can be brought into physical contact with another flat side of the plate-shaped body to be overturned. The two pivot axes are parallel to each other and mutually spaced. A permanent system is provided for overturning plate-shaped bodies with different dimensions, wherein noise generation associated with the overturning process is greatly reduced using the system. The system has at least one drivable eccentric arrangement with which a position of one of the pivot axes can be adjusted before and/or during an overturning process.

Abstract: A straightening machine having an allocated straightening roll drive including a top bearing frame and a bottom bearing frame, in which a plurality of straightening rolls and supporting rolls are held in a cassette-like manner and arranged in an interchangeable manner. Abstract: The invention relates to a cooling device 100 for cooling a metallic product and a method for its operation. The cooling device 100 has at least one cooling bar 110 with a plurality N of spraying regions I, II, III which are adjacent in pairs and which each have at least one spray nozzle 130 for spraying a coolant onto the metallic product. Valves are provided for individually adjusting the pressure or the volume flow of the coolant 300 in each of the spraying regions. The valves 120 and a pump for the coolant are controlled individually with the aid of a control device 150. In order to improve the application of coolant to the metallic product, the invention provides that at least one partition wall is provided for the at least one cooling bar of the cooling device according to the invention to divide the interior of the cooling bar into at least two chambers, each of the spraying regions being assigned to a different one of the chambers. The partition wall is shaped at least approximately in accordance with the course of the temperature distribution in a predetermined width section of the metallic product before it enters the cooling device, and the partition wall is arranged in the cooling bar over this width section.
