摘要： A negative dielectric anisotropy liquid crystal composition having one or more A-R0—B compounds represented by formula I above as a first component, and one or more compounds represented by formula II above as a second component: The liquid crystal composition has a good stability against light and heat, a lower viscosity, a wider refractive index that may be achieved by adjusting the monomer ratio, and a higher clearing point (a very wide service temperature range). The liquid crystal composition has a higher light transmittance, thus allowing a display device to have a higher brightness or an energy saving effect.

摘要： A compound represented by formula I, a negative liquid crystal composition comprising such a compound, and a liquid crystal display element or liquid crystal display comprising the compound or liquid crystal composition are provided. The compound represented by formula I contains two hydroxy groups. In an ODF process for a panel, due to an intermolecular force between the hydroxyl groups and the surface of the panel (a glass surface or an ITO electrode surface), the compound is spontaneously aligned, in a standing manner, on the panel glass or transparent ITO electrode substrate, causing liquid crystal molecules similar to the compound represented by formula ITO be vertically aligned, and UV light irradiation, a polymer layer with a rough surface is formed on the substrate by means of polymerization, and achieves the effects of PI insulation and vertical alignment of the liquid crystal molecules.

摘要： Disclosed is a liquid crystal display device comprising an array substrate and an opposite substrate arranged facing the array substrate, and further comprises a liquid crystal composition located between said array substrate and the opposite substrate, wherein said array substrate comprises elongated and evenly spaced slit electrodes and electrode gaps between the slit electrodes, with the slit electrodes and the electrode gaps said being located in the same layer structure; said array substrate comprises a bulk electrode below the slit electrodes; and said array substrate further comprises an insulating layer between the slit electrodes and the bulk electrode. The liquid crystal display device has a higher light transmittance, such that more backlight passes through the liquid crystal display device, resulting in the liquid crystal display device having a higher luminance.
