The microcarrier for cell culture according to the present invention includes a base particle and a coating layer covering an outer surface of the base particle, and the coating layer includes a resin having a polyvinyl alcohol derivative skeleton or a poly(meth)acrylic acid ester skeleton and having a peptide moiety, and the microcarrier has an average particle size of 300 μm or more and a CV value of particle size of 10% or less.
