    Abstract: A projector includes an illumination unit which has an optical system including a light source apparatus, an image formation unit which has an optical system including a light modulator (liquid crystal panels), a projection unit which has an optical system including a projection lens, to which the image formation unit is coupled, and which is coupled to the illumination unit, and a base frame which fixes one of the illumination unit and the projection unit and holds the other shiftably in a direction parallel to a projection direction. In a case where the projection unit is fixed to the base frame, second fixing portions (projection unit fixing portions) of the projection unit are fixed, and first fixing portions (illumination unit fixing portions) of the illumination unit are shiftably held.

    Abstract: A projector includes first and second cooling targets and a cooling device. The cooling device includes a first compressor, a condenser, a first expander, a first evaporator configured to change the working fluid into a working fluid in a gas phase by using heat of the first cooling target, a heat exchanger including a first flow path through which the working fluid from the first expander flows and a second flow path, a second expander configured to decompress the working fluid from the first flow path, a second evaporator configured to change the working fluid flowing into the second flow path into the working fluid in a gas phase by using heat of the second cooling target, and a second compressor. The heat exchanger cools the working fluid flowing through the first flow path by the working fluid flowing through the second flow path.

    Abstract: A projector includes a first cooling target, a cooling device, and an exterior housing. The cooling device includes a first circulation device in which working fluid circulates, a second circulation device in which a liquid refrigerant circulates, and a heat exchanger in which both of the working fluid and the liquid refrigerant flow. The first circulation device includes a first compressor, a condenser, a first expander, and a first evaporator. The second circulation device includes a first heat receiver heat-transferably connected to the first cooling target. The heat exchanger includes a first channel in which the working fluid having flowed in the first expander flows, and a second channel in which the liquid refrigerant having flowed in the first heat receiver flows. The heat exchanger cools the liquid refrigerant flowing in the second channel with the working fluid flowing in the first channel.
