Abstract: A rechargeable battery includes an electrode assembly with an exterior shape having a central portion between a first round portion and a second round portion, the electrode assembly including a first electrode with a first substrate and a plurality of first tabs, the plurality of first tabs being positioned continuously without interruption over the first round portion and over a portion of the central portion in contact with the first round portion, and the first electrode including a plurality of first folding lines between the first substrate and the plurality of first tabs, respectively, a second electrode with a second substrate and a plurality of second tabs, and a separator between the first electrode and the second electrode, the first electrode, the separator, and the second electrode being wound around centers of two winding axes, and a case configured to accommodate and seal the electrode assembly.
