Abstract:
There are provided an image processing apparatus for registering medical images having different modalities and a method for controlling the same. A reference location is designated in advance, a pre-designated cross-sectional image of an object is used, a corresponding location is extracted, and then image registration is performed. The image processing apparatus according to an exemplary embodiment includes a communication unit configured to receive a first medical image and a second medical image having a different modality from the first medical image of an object from a first medical apparatus and a second medical apparatus, respectively; and an image processing unit configured to extract a pre-designated cross-sectional image from the second medical image, extract a location corresponding to a reference location of the object from the extracted cross-sectional image, and perform registration of the second medical image and the first medical image corresponding to the extracted cross-sectional image.
Abstract:
An apparatus for registering medical images includes a processor configured to acquire, via an ultrasound probe, a first cross-section of a first medical image, the first cross-section comprising a reference point of an object; and a memory configured to store a second medical image. The processor is configured to obtain a second cross-section of the second medical image corresponding to the first cross-section by using the reference point, and register the first and second medical images with each other.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus includes an input device configured to receive a computerized tomography image of a first respiration phase of an object; a data selector configured to select magnetic resonance image data similar to the object from among magnetic resonance image data; and an image generator configured to generate a computerized tomography image of a second respiration phase of the object based on the selected magnetic resonance image data.
Abstract:
A medical image registration method includes determining whether a reference point of registration is present in a first medical image and a second medical image of an object; in response to determining that the reference point is not present in one of the first medical image and the second medical image, estimating a virtual reference point corresponding to the reference point in one of the first medical image and the second medical image, in which the reference point is not present, by using anatomical information of the object; and registering the first medical image and the second medical image by using the estimated virtual reference point.
Abstract:
Provided is an ultrasonic imaging apparatus including an ultrasonic probe configured to receive a first ultrasonic signal and a second ultrasonic signal corresponding an object; and an image processor configured to obtain second ultrasonic volume data based on the second ultrasonic signal and relationship information between first information and second information, configured to apply the relationship information to the second ultrasonic volume data and configured to obtain a second ultrasonic cross-sectional image from the second ultrasonic volume data based on the relationship information, where the first information comprises a first position and a first direction corresponding to a position and a direction of the ultrasonic probe receiving the first ultrasonic signal and the second information comprises a second position and a second direction corresponding to a position and a direction of the ultrasonic probe receiving the second ultrasonic signal.
