摘要: An electronic device includes a load device and a power management integrated circuit. The power management integrated circuit is configured to calculate a load power value and provide the load power value to the load device in response to a request from the load device. The power management integrated circuit includes a plurality of regulators and a controller. Each of the plurality of regulators includes a current meter for measuring a load current value to be provided to the load device, and the controller is configured to calculate the load power value by using the load current value measured by the current meter and a load voltage value provided from each of the plurality of regulators to the load device.

摘要: A DC-DC converter is provided. The DC-DC converter includes at least one converter circuit configured to include an inductor and to supply a current to a load through the inductor; and a controller configured to sense the current to generate a sensed signal, to sample and hold the sensed signal at a predetermined sampling time to detect an average current of the inductor, and to control an operation of the at least one converter circuit according to the average current. The sampling time is set to a time in a period while the inductor current is less than a peak and greater than a valley.

摘要: A semiconductor device includes an inductor selectively connected to a power supply voltage and configured to store and release energy; a first transistor connected between the power supply voltage and the inductor and configured to provide the power supply voltage to the inductor; a second transistor connected to the first transistor in series, connected between the inductor and a ground voltage, and configured to provide the ground voltage to the inductor; a modulator configured to provide a modulation signal to a control circuit configured to control the first and second transistors by performing pulse width modulation (PWM); a current sensor configured to sense an amount of current passing through the first transistor and generate a first output signal based on the sensed amount of current; and a first overcurrent protection output generator configured to generate a second output signal based on the first output signal and a first reference signal.
