摘要:
An improved solution for displaying a topology. A user can selectively adjust a baseline that is used to alter the emphasis of one or more topologic items for the topology. In response to an adjusted baseline, more or fewer topologic items can be displayed at full emphasis and/or de-emphasized. As a result, the user is allowed to dynamically select a desired emphasis level for viewing the topology.

A system and method for autonomic software delivery for personal area networks is presented. A software installer is included in a responding device that uses a device profile table to identify the capabilities of a requesting device. Once identified, the responding device provides software data, such as software identifiers and versions, to the requesting device. The requesting device compares its installed software with the software data it received from the responding device. In turn, the requesting device downloads software from the responding device that it either does not have or is outdated. Once the requesting device downloads the software, the requesting device may send requests, such as a print request or a remote control command, to the responding device using the downloaded software.

A method to correlate and consolidate a plurality of events may include consolidating each of the plurality of events to form a multi-personality event. Each event may be emitted from a respective one of a plurality of components forming an event producer in response to an incident affecting the event producer. The method may also include providing the multi-personality event to an event consumer.

Embodiments of the present invention address deficiencies of the art in respect to managing tabbing order in a portal environment and provide a novel and non-obvious method, system and computer program product for tab order management for portlets in a portal environment. In a first embodiment, a tab order management data processing system can include a portal server configured to render a portal page, a portlet aggregator configured to provide portlet markup for different portlets in the portal page, and tab order management logic coupled to the portlet aggregator. The tab order management logic can be configured to transform a relative tab order for tabbed elements in each of the different portlets into a single tab order for the portal page. For instance, the tab order management logic can include a configuration to transform relative indices for the tabbed elements in each of the different portlets into a single index for the portal page.

Under the present invention provides a method, system and program product for identifying web page dependencies. Specifically, under the present invention, any dependencies needed to properly view a web page are identified prior to rendering the web page on the client. Once any dependencies are identified, the client from which the web page was requested is analyzed to determine whether it has the needed dependencies. Thereafter, graphical dependency indicators that indicate the dependencies and whether they exist on the client can be displayed

A method for increasing server capacity may include causing a program to run in a browser in response to a session on a server. The program may be adapted to spawn a new browser window in response to a web page associated with the session being unloaded. The method may also include destroying all data associated with the session in response to a signal from the spawned browser window. The method may further include returning memory occupied by the data associated with the session to a memory pool.

A method for synchronizing content in multiple browser windows may include polling any child browser windows spawned from a parent browser window at predetermined time intervals to detect any changes in a respective child browser window. The method may also include updating or synchroinizing content in the parent browser window in response to detecting any changes in any child browser windows spawned from the parent browser window.
