摘要: A hybrid powertrain includes a torque provider, an automatic transmission without a torque converter, and a transfer case configured for providing four wheel drive low range. A controller receives a signal indicative of the transfer case being in low range and determines if brake pedal torque is indicative of a brake pedal being released and, if so, commands engagement of a launch clutch of the transmission up to maximum creep torque capacity at a predetermined maximum gradient. The controller determines when torque provider speed is synchronized with vehicle creep speed, and upon such determination, controls the launch clutch to fully engage to a lock up state to mimic behavior of engagement of a manual transmission gear when the hybrid powertrain is in low range to thereby substantially eliminate a time lag associated with automatic transmissions having a torque converter or a constantly slipping launch clutch.

摘要: A gas compression spring is mounted with an exterior element configured to allow a user to adjust the extension of the spring by rotating or sliding the exterior element. The user can line up an internal mechanism which is configured to limit the extension of the gas spring, and therefore stop the extension of the gas spring at a predetermined height. Additionally, an override mechanism is included where a user requires full extension of the gas spring. For example, the user can override the internal mechanism by applying a force in the direction of the extension, which disengages the mechanism allowing full extension. When the spring is compressed again, the mechanism resets and opens to the predetermined height. The gas spring can be utilized in a vehicle liftgate system, allowing the liftgate to open at one or more heights based upon the internal mechanism settings of the gas spring.

摘要: A vehicle gate assembly for a vehicle that includes a first coupling member that is movably coupled to the vehicle. The vehicle gate assembly also includes a second coupling member and a gate that is movably coupled to the vehicle via the first coupling member so as to move between a raised position and a lowered position. The gate moves away from the vehicle when moving from the raised position to the lowered position. The gate assembly also includes a tray assembly that is movably supported by the vehicle, so as to move between a retracted position and an extended position. The tray assembly is coupled to the gate via the second coupling member such that movement of the gate between the raised and towered position coincidentally moves the tray assembly between the extended position and the retracted position.
