    摘要: A Radio Base Station (RBS) and method of operating the same are provided. The RBS may enable a fast and flexible reconfiguration of the system from a first configuration to a second confirmation where the RBS is triggered to initiate a system reconfiguration and the reconfiguration is performed by starting a new cell with the wanted new configuration in parallel with the original cell. During a certain time period, both the original and the new cell are available. Thereafter, the original cell is shut down. The time offset between the start up of the new cell and the shut down of the original cell may be long enough to ensure that user equipment associated with the original cell can be handed over or can reselect the new cell. The time offset may be short enough to reduce the interference between the original and new cells.

    摘要: A method and arrangement for enabling communication of data between a UE and a first base station in a cellular communication network further comprising the second base station, and the second base station is connected to the first base station via a communication interface. A scheduling request is received from the first base station. The scheduling request is based on a suggested scheduling which is determined by the first base station, and the suggested scheduling concerns the communication of data. Scheduling information is determined based on the scheduling request, and the scheduling information is transmitted to the UE. By determining a suggested scheduling in a micro base station, but transmitting scheduling information from an overlaying macro base station, local awareness of communication conditions may be applied, and interferences from neighboring micro base stations may be decreased.

The method comprising: obtaining signal strength values associated with the one or more antennas of the at least two access nodes for a number of user equipments; arranging the number of user equipments into one or more groups of user equipments and associating each of the one or more groups of user equipments with a sub-set of the one or more antennas of the at least two access nodes based on the obtained signal strength values; and coordinating data transmission performed by the at least two access nodes to each of the one or more groups of user equipments based on the subset of the one or more antennas of the at least two access nodes associated with each group of user equipments, respectively.

    摘要: A base station and method are described herein that improves the coverage in a fixed-beam wireless communication system by using antenna beam-jitter and Channel Quality Information (CQI) correction. In one embodiment, the method includes the steps of: (a) modifying a beam by introducing a beam-jitter in a beam-forming pattern; (b) receiving an estimated channel quality information, CQI, from a user terminal; (c) accounting for effects of the beam jitter on the estimated CQI to obtain a jitter-adjusted CQI estimate; (d) and using the jitter-adjusted CQI estimate during user scheduling for a future transmission to the user terminal.
