摘要: A hydraulic system for a suspension system for a vehicle includes at least one first pair of wheel rams (11, 12) at a first end of the vehicle and at least one second pair of wheel rams (13, 14) at a second end of the vehicle, each rams including a compression chamber (45-48) and a rebound chamber (49-52); and the system includes first and second diagonal circuits with respect to said vehicle. The hydraulic system includes at least one first and second modal resilience devices (81, 82). These devices each including at least one resilient means (107-110), at least one moveable member (105-106) and at least first and second (89, 90 and 91, 92) system modal chambers. Motion of the moveable member of each modal resilience device due to roll or pitch motion of the vehicle is controlled by the respective at least one resilient means to thereby provide respective roll or pitch resilience in the system.

There is a mode decoupling device (100) with first (129), second (130), third (132) and fourth (131) balance chambers formed by a cylinder/piston rod assembly (124,125,126). The compression chamber (45) of the front left wheel ram (15) is in fluid communication with the first balance chamber (129), the compression chamber (46) of the front right wheel ram (16) is in fluid communication with the second balance chamber (130), the compression chamber (48) of the rear left wheel ram (18) is in fluid communication with the third balance chamber (132), and the compression chamber (47) of the rear right wheel ram (17) is in fluid communication with the fourth balance chamber (131). There are also front and rear resilient vehicle support means between vehicle body and the wheel assemblies.

摘要: A suspension system for a vehicle body and at least two forward and two rearward wheel assemblies. The suspension system has a hydraulic system including at least one front left, front right, rear left and rear right wheel rams (11, 12, 13, 14) respectively located between the wheel assemblies and the vehicle body, each wheel ram including at least a compression chamber (45, 46, 47, 48). The compression chamber of each wheel ram is in fluid communication with a respective compression conduit (61, 62, 63, 64) forming a front left, a front right, a rear left and a rear right fluid volumes. The front left and rear left fluid volumes are in fluid communication with a first flow control means (100) controlling the fluid communication there between; and the front right and rear right fluid volumes are in fluid communication with a second flow control means (101) controlling the fluid communication there between.

摘要: A support mechanism for supporting an object, such as a table, has at least four legs and an interconnection means connecting the legs. Each leg has a beam portion with an inner end and an outer end. The beam portion of each leg is connected to the interconnection means by a respective pivot having a pivot axis located between the inner and outer ends of the beam portion. Each respective pair of adjacent legs has a protrusion fixed to one of the legs of that pair of adjacent legs and extending from that one leg to act on the other leg of that pair of adjacent legs. In use, the outer end of the beam portion of one leg moves in an upwards direction and the outer end of the beam portions of the adjacent legs moves in a downwards direction to accommodate uneven ground surfaces.

摘要: A load distribution unit is utilized in a vehicle suspension system having at least one pair of laterally adjacent forward wheel assemblies, and at least one pair of laterally adjacent rear wheel assemblies. A wheel ram is associated with each of the wheel assemblies, each wheel ram including a major chamber therein. The load distribution unit includes a plurality of fluid chambers, each fluid chamber being divided into at least two control chambers by at least one piston supported therein. Two pairs of the control chambers which vary in volume proportionally and in opposite senses therein with piston motion are system chambers, and at least two of the remaining control chambers are bump chambers. The pistons are interconnected by at least one connection device. The major chamber of each wheel ram is in fluid communication with a respective system chamber. The vehicle suspension system provides a roll stiffness and a pitch stiffness while providing minimum cross-axial articulation stiffness.
