Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. To reduce peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) associated with transmissions in a wireless communications system, a user equipment (UE) may implement tone reservation techniques. The UE may receive downlink control information from a base station that indicates a set of allocated resources that the UE is to use for the tone reservation. The UE may identify a first set of tones of the set of allocated resources for transmitting a data signal and a second set of tones of the set of allocated resources for transmitting a peak-reduction signal that reduces the peak power of the data signal. The UE may transmit the data signal and the peak-reduction signal based on the received downlink control information.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a first message indicating a capability to linearize a digital signal outputted by an analog front end of the UE, the digital signal being associated with a first transmission. The UE may receive the first transmission, the first transmission being associated with a gain state comprising a set of configurations associated with a plurality of amplifiers at the UE, and the UE may linearize the digital signal associated with the first transmission based at least in part on the gain state, where linearizing the digital signal comprises obtaining an output voltage value corresponding to an input voltage value associated with the analog front end. In some examples, the UE may obtain an output voltage value from a lookup table (LUT) of a set of LUTs configured to the UE or generated by the UE.

In one method, a user equipment (UE) receives a timing synchronization signal (TSS) and a physical broadcast channel (PBCH), with the TSS based at least in part on a timing of the TSS within a broadcast channel transmission time interval (BCH TTI); determines the timing of the TSS within the BCH TTI; and demodulates the PBCH based at least in part on the TSS. In another method, a base station allocates resources for a TSS and a PBCH within a BCH TTI; determines the TSS based at least in part on a timing of the TSS within the BCH TTI; and transmits, on the resources allocated for the TSS and the PBCH, the TSS and the PBCH, with the TSS transmitted as a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) for the PBCH on at least one port used to transmit the TSS and the PBCH.

Abstract: A UE may determine that two or more resources on two or more beams from a base station have phase continuity. The UE may determine, based on the two or more resources on the two or more beams having the phase continuity, a joint channel information associated with the two or more beams using individual measurements respectively corresponding to the two or more beams. The UE may then transmit, to the base station, a group-based beam report including the joint channel information. The base station may provide the UE with an indication that the two or more resources on the two or more beams from the base station have phase continuity. The base station may receive the group-based beam report from the UE based on the indication, and the base station may configure communication with the UE on a joint channel based on the group-based beam report.
