Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses, including computer programs encoded on computer-readable media, for steering a wireless device (such as a client station (STA)) in a network having multiple access points (APs). In some aspects, a processor at a first AP may monitor a traffic flow associated with the wireless device. The processor may determine that the wireless device is to be steered, based, at least in part, on the monitored traffic flow. The processor may generate a steering ranking list based on the profile of the wireless device. And the processor may selectively steer the wireless device to a different wireless association in the multi-AP network based on the steering ranking list.
