Abstract: Embodiments herein provide for efficient delivery of a package or other item to a precise delivery location using beacons transmitted by a beaconing device, which are detected by a delivery device and used to guide the delivery device to the precise delivery location. Different types of events may be used as triggering events to trigger the transmission of the beacons, and beacons may be encoded to include instructions and/or information to the delivery device for identifying the precise delivery location.
