Abstract: In some implementations, a server may receive, from the target UE, a message indicative of: a capability of the target UE for WLAN positioning, and an absence of a sidelink interface of the target UE with another UE. The server may send instructions to one or more prospective assistance UEs to initiate WLAN functionality to enable the target UE to associate with the one or more prospective assistance UEs. The server may receive, from the one or more prospective assistance UEs, WLAN identification information of the one or more prospective assistance UEs. Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a discontinuous reception (DRX) configuration to be used by the UE for cellular communication with the base station, wherein the DRX configuration indicates a DRX cycle that includes an active time during which the UE is to monitor a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) and an inactive time during which the UE is to refrain from monitoring the PDCCH; identify a time window for sidelink communication with another UE based at least in part on the DRX configuration; and communicate using one or more sidelink resources in the identified time window. Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide methods and apparatus for determining a Zone identifier (ID), Zone Center, and negative acknowledgement (NACK) ranges. Included are operations and means at a receiving user equipment (UE) to determine a current geographic location (GLL) of the receiving UE, and select a Zone ID based on a two-dimensional (2-D) lookup into an indexed array with the current GLL, the indexed array storing Zone data for one or more geographic Zones. The Zone data for each geographic Zone may be indexed according to geographic position, and include a Zone ID, Zone center, and one or more NACK ranges, each NACK range corresponding with a geographic Zone disposed about the geographic Zone corresponding to the Zone ID. Operations further include performing a NACK operation based on the selected Zone ID and a NACK range.

Abstract: Aspects for pruning a spurious cell are provided for a user equipment (UE). At the UE, based in part on transmission gap pattern sequence (TGPS) information received from a serving cell of the UE, a search period for measurement events for cells in a database different from the serving cell is determined. Among the cells in the database in the UE, a candidate cell is selected. Among a plurality of measurement reporting event time-to-triggers (TTTs) associated with the candidate cell, a smallest measurement reporting event TTT is determined. Further, based at least in part on the search period and the smallest measurement reporting event TTT value associated with the candidate cell, a cell age pruning threshold for the candidate cell may be determined. The cell age pruning threshold may be used to determine whether to prune the candidate cell from the database.
