Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine location information regarding the UE; and activate a receive beam of the UE in at least one symbol, associated with at least one transmit beam of at least one base station, based at least in part on the location information, wherein the UE is configured to activate the receive beam based at least in part on mapping information, at least partially determined by the UE, that indicates that the receive beam is associated with the location information. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: A system and method of performing a handover include detecting an out of sync event while being connected to a current cell, determining whether a measurement report time-to-trigger signal is active, sending, in response to the detection of the out of sync even and the measurement report time-to-trigger signal being active, a first new measurement report and a first special cause flag prior to a next scheduled measurement report to the communication network, receiving a first list of one or more neighboring cells suitable for a handover, identifying a first neighboring cell from the first list for the handover, and attempting to perform the handover from the current cell to the first neighboring cell.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure are directed to optimizing transmission at a user equipment (UE) such that configured grant (CG) and dynamic grant (DG) uplink communications are transmitted via the same channel or antenna port. In some examples, the UE may be configured to obtain, from a network node, a first signal activating a configured grant (CG) for uplink communication via a first port of the apparatus. In some examples, the UE may be configured to obtain, from the network node, a second signal indicating a dynamic grant (DG) for uplink communication via a second port of the apparatus. In some examples, the UE may be configured to output, for transmission to the network node, a CG uplink signal via the second port of the apparatus based on the second signal indication of the second port.
