摘要: This disclosure provides methods, components, devices and systems for communicating information of multiple wireless access points (APs) affiliated with an AP multi-link device (MLD). Some aspects more specifically relate to techniques for communicating information regarding multiple APs affiliated with an AP MLD in multiple response frames. In some examples, a first response frame may include information regarding a first set of APs that is less than all of the APs indicated by a wireless station (STA) MLD request and a second response frame may include information regarding a second set of APs including one or more AP of the APs missing from the first set of APs. Some examples may additionally or alternatively provide for an AP MLD signaling an indication of a number of allowed association links with respect to the AP MLD, such as for establish a maximum number of allowed association links.

摘要: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for establishing and maintaining connectivity between access points (APs) that provide multiple BSSID sets and wireless stations (STAs) that do not support enhanced multiple BSSID advertisement (EMA). In some implementations, a wireless communication device may transmit a burst of beacon frames each carrying a respective partial list of nontransmitted BSSID profiles for a multiple BSSID set. In such implementations, the bursts of beacon frames may be transmitted periodically such that the start of each burst occurs one beacon interval after the start of a prior burst. In some other implementations, a wireless communication device may broadcast multiple beacon frames each carrying a full set of nontransmitted BSSID profiles associated with a respective multiple BSSID set. In such implementations, each beacon frame may be periodically broadcast every beacon interval.

Various embodiment methods may include determining whether the range extender has received interoperability information from an access point indicating at least one operating mode of the access point, and selecting an operating mode from the plurality of operating modes of the range extender based on the interoperability information in response to determining that the range extender has received the interoperability information from the access point.
