    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a base station may configure a user equipment (UE) with a first-active bandwidth part (BWP). The first-active BWP may correspond to a subset of a channel bandwidth. Retuning one or more components (e.g., radio frequency (RF) components) to the first-active BWP at the UE may involve a relatively significant delay. To avoid missing communications while tuning to the first-active BWP, the UE may initially tune to the channel bandwidth. The UE may identify a next-available time resource for retuning to the first-active BWP, where the next-available time resource may be a portion of an off-duration of a discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle or a portion of a measurement gap. The UE may use the time resource to retune to the first-active BWP while the UE is configured to reduce communications with a serving base station.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may be configured with multiple bandwidth parts (BWPs) and may support multiple subscriber identification modules (SIMs) (e.g., may operate in a multi-SIM (MSIM) mode). The UE may tune away from a default data SIM (DDS) subscription for a tune away gap and may miss any downlink signaling, such as an indication of a BWP switch, for a duration of the tune away. To avoid latency resulting from such missed downlink signaling, the UE may support a mechanism according to which the UE may autonomously switch to a different BWP despite a missed command from a network entity. Such a mechanism may include transmission of a scheduling request (SR) on each of multiple BWPs configured for the UE and monitoring each of the multiple BWPs for signaling responsive to the SR.

    Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for a wireless communication device having multiple Subscriber Identity Modules (SIMs) in which a first SIM is associated with an Internet Protocol (IP) Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) subscription used for IMS services. The method includes but not limited to, attaching the IMS subscription to a first cell of a packet-switched cellular network, determining a cause of IMS voice service being not currently available at the IMS subscription, determining availability of a wireless local area network (WLAN) connection at the IMS subscription, and providing voice service at the IMS subscription based on the cause of IMS voice service being not currently available and the availability of the WLAN connection at the IMS subscription.
