Abstract: Systems and techniques are provided for wireless communications. A process can include receiving, using a low-power wake-up receiver (LP-WUR) of a network entity (e.g., a UE), a low-power signal indicative of configuration information for a channel state information (CSI) report of the network entity. A configured receiver of the network entity can receive a CSI reference signal (CSI-RS), the configured receiver comprising the LP-WUR or a main radio (MR) of the network entity. The configured receiver can be determined based on the configuration information indicated by the low-power signal. The network entity can transmit a CSI report corresponding to one or more measurements of the CSI-RS, wherein a transmission time of the CSI report is based on the configuration information indicated by the low-power signal.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A communication device may receive first control signaling indicating a discontinuous reception (DRX) configuration associated with a set of DRX cycles. The communication device may receive second control signaling during a first inactive duration and before a first active duration associated with a first DRX cycle of the set of DRX cycles. The second control signaling may indicate pending data for the communication device. Additionally or alternatively, the second control signaling may include a request for feedback from the communication device. The feedback may indicate a capability for the communication device to receive the pending data during the first active duration, and an energy level of a power source associated with the communication device. The communication device may thereby receive the pending data based in part on the feedback from the communication device.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described that provide for aligning a starting time of a cell-based discontinuous transmission (DTX) and/or discontinuous reception (DRX) mode between a network entity and one or more user equipment (UE) within the serving cell associated with the network entity. The aligning may be accomplished via coordinated signaling. For example, the network may configure a periodic interval for transmitting information related to a discontinuous operation mode in group common downlink control information (GC DCI) messages. In some additional examples, the periodic interval may allow for beam sweeping of the GC DCI messages and efficient cell-based activation or deactivation of the discontinuous operation mode.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for improving a beam failure recovery procedure when control channel monitoring adaptions are enabled. An example method includes receiving, from a network entity, configuration information comprising at least one of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) monitoring skipping configuration or a search space (SS) set group (SSSG) switching configuration, detecting a beam failure of a beam used for communicating with the network entity, and in response to the detected beam failure, taking one or more actions to monitor a beam failure recovery (BFR) SS set for a BFR response from the network entity based, in part, on the configuration information.

Abstract: Some techniques described herein provide selective application of a validity duration, cessation of transmission of a tracking reference signal (TRS), indication of an availability indication via a paging PDCCH when no user equipment (UE) is paged, and application of an availability indication based at least in part on an offset such that the availability indication is applied only after the availability indication is received. By selectively applying the validity duration, the network can avoid being bound to a validity duration when no TRS is to be transmitted. The network can cease transmission of a TRS during a validity duration, or may reduce the occurrence of repeated validity durations, thereby reducing overhead. By indicating the availability indication when no UE is paged, the network can update availability indication even when no UE is paged, which reduces overhead relative to only updating availability indication when a UE is paged.

Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for harvesting radio frequency (RF) energy based on an energy harvesting EH indication signal. A transmitting device such as a base station may transmit, to a user equipment (UE), an EH indication signal that indicates a time period when radio frequency (RF) energy is to be available. The UE may receive the EH indication signal and harvest RF energy from the RF signal during the time period. The transmitting device may transmit an RF signal to the UE or another UE during the time period. The UE may receive a wake up indication indicating a second time period to monitor a control channel. The UE may split power between energy harvesting and receiving RF signals during the second time period.

Abstract: In an aspect, a UE determines a power consumption of the UE for a position estimation procedure based on a set of power consumption parameters associated with the UE, the set of power consumption parameters comprising one or more layer-specific parameters associated with a set of positioning frequency layers (PFL), a Positioning frequency layer processing capability of the UE, a positioning reference signal (PRS) resource processing capability of the UE, a PRS measurement type capability of the UE, a positioning session processing capability of the UE, or a combination thereof. The UE performs one or more positioning measurements associated with the position estimation procedure in accordance with the determined power consumption.
