Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media for facilitating autonomous synchronization are disclosed herein. For example, a UE may be configured to perform an initial synchronization directly to PSCCH and PSSCH when other synchronization sources, such as GNSS, a base station, and/or SLSS, are unavailable. An example method for wireless communication at a user equipment includes receiving a PSCCH. The example method also includes performing an initial synchronization based on the PSCCH. In some examples, the method may also include receiving a PSSCH, and determining a logical subframe number modulo 10 based on the PSSCH. The logical subframe number modulo 10 may correspond to a sequence seed.

Abstract: A UE may receive, via a first communication link that uses a first radio access technology (RAT), information that identifies a threshold associated with a second communication link that uses a second RAT. The UE may monitor one or more communications on the second communication link. The UE may determine whether a parameter associated with the second communication link satisfies the threshold based at least in part on monitoring the one or more communications on the second communication link. The UE may provide a message via the first communication link when the parameter associated with the second communication link satisfies the threshold.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for serving cell management of a user equipment (UE) are presented. Particularly, methods and apparatuses are presented for suppressing a serving cell change based on a speed of the UE. For instance, an example method is presented for serving cell management that may include determining that a serving cell change condition exists for an initiation of a serving cell change for the UE, wherein the serving cell change comprises changing a serving cell of the UE from a macro cell to a low power cell. In addition, the example method may include obtaining a speed of the UE and suppressing the initiation of the serving cell change based on the speed of the UE.

Abstract: Methods and corresponding apparatuses for LTE's WLAN mobility set prioritization are discussed. The method includes detecting an integrated WLAN and a legacy WLAN, measuring the connection quality of the integrated WLAN and/or the connection quality of the legacy WLAN, and determining whether to select the legacy WLAN over the integrated WLAN based on the measurement results. The method further includes detecting a WWAN using both licensed and unlicensed spectrum, and refraining from connecting to the legacy WLAN in response to the detecting.

Abstract: Techniques are described for wireless communication at a wireless communication device. One method includes receiving wireless wide area network (WWAN) packets at a WWAN processing subsystem of the wireless communication device; transferring wireless local area network (WLAN) packet information from a WLAN processing subsystem of the wireless communication device to the WWAN processing subsystem, the WLAN packet information comprising a subset of data associated with WLAN packets; performing a reordering process in the WWAN processing subsystem, the reordering process based at least in part on the received WWAN packets and the WLAN packets that correspond to the transferred WLAN packet information; and providing an indication of the reordered WWAN packets and the WLAN packets to an application processing subsystem of the wireless communication device.

Abstract: A method and apparatus provide for configuring WLAN measurements for unlicensed spectrum communications. The method and apparatus include receiving, at a network entity, a UE capability message and a reporting message from a UE, determining whether the UE is capable of communicating over the unlicensed spectrum and supports WLAN measurements based on the UE capability message and the reporting message, and transmitting, to the UE, a measurement configuration message including a measurement configuration identifier in accordance with the determination that the UE is capable of communicating over the unlicensed spectrum and supports WLAN measurements. The method and apparatus further include receiving, at a UE, a measurement configuration message and a measurement purpose message from a network entity, determining a measurement configuration of the UE based on the measurement purpose message, and performing one or more measurements for the one or more WLAN access points.

Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication enable user equipment operating in a current cell that provides a multimedia broadcast/multicast service to distinguish between neighboring cells that have different operational characteristics. The presence of a neighboring cell is identified while the user equipment is operating in a first cell and it is determined whether the neighboring cell provides services different from the services provided in the current cell, based on information maintained by the user equipment. The user equipment may move to the neighboring cell to obtain better or different service.

Abstract: Various embodiments include multi-subscription multi-standby (MSMS) communication devices and methods for managing reception of data using a first subscription following a tune-away by a radio frequency (RF) resource chain from the first subscription to a second subscription. In various embodiments the MSMS communication device may receive data over the first subscription during a warm-up period of the RF resource chain following completion of the tune-away. In some embodiments, the device processor may receive the data over the first subscription during the warm-up period using one or more channel parameters of the first subscription determined before the tune-away. In some embodiments, the device processor may receive data over the first subscription during the warm-up period using one or more channel parameters of the first subscription determined initially during the warm-up period.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein relate to systems and methods for scheduling subscriptions in a user equipment (UE) having at least a first receive radio and a second receive radio, including receiving, by the first receive radio, a broadcast activity for a first subscription and receiving, by the second receive radio, a reception activity for a second subscription. A trigger event is detected while the broadcast activity for the first subscription is being received by the first receive radio and the reception activity for the second subscription is being received by the second receive radio. In response to detecting the trigger event, the reception activity for the second subscription is received by the first receive radio and the broadcast activity for the first subscription is received by the second receive radio.
