Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may set a value associated with a delay budget report information element based at least in part on determining that the UE is to employ low latency communication with or via a base station. The UE may transmit a message, that includes the value associated with the delay budget report information element, to the base station to indicate that low latency communication is to be employed in association with a default bearer established between the UE and the base station. Numerous other aspects are provided.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless communication device may determine that a video frame was not properly received by the wireless communication device. The wireless communication device may determine whether a reference frame is stored in a buffer of the wireless communication device based at least in part on determining that the video frame was not properly received. The wireless communication device may selectively transmit a negative acknowledgement (NACK) indication based at least in part on determining whether the reference frame is stored in the buffer. Numerous other aspects are provided.
Abstract:
The present aspects relate to out-of-service searches in a wireless communication system. Specifically, the present aspects provide that while in an out-of-service state corresponding to a radio resource disconnection, a user equipment (UE) may determine that a first time duration following entry into the out-of-service state has elapsed. The UE may further obtain a geofence identifier representing a shape forming a geographic region including one or more boundaries based on determining that the first time duration has elapsed. The UE may further identify at least one location identifier based at least on the geofence identifier and determine at least one radio access technology (RAT) and one or more associated frequency bands based on the at least one location identifier. The UE may further search on the at least one RAT and one or more associated frequency bands for at least one network entity within the geographic region.
Abstract:
A method is provided for implementing a local call hold in a dual subscription dual active first communication device. A first voice call may be established with a second communication device via a first communication network. An indication of a second voice call may be received from a third communication device via a second communication network. The first voice call may be placed on hold by sending a call hold indicator within a regularly transmitted frame to the second communication device. The second voice call may be established with the third communication device after placing the first voice call on hold. The first voice call with the second communication device may be subsequently resumed by excluding the call hold indicator from the regularly transmitted frame to the second communication device.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques and apparatus for reducing user equipment (UE) capability information message size. A method for wireless communications by a UE is provided. The UE sends a first UE capability information message to a base station (BS) including a first set of UE capability information. The UE sends at least a second UE capability information message to the BS subsequent to sending the first UE capability information message including a second set of UE capability information. The second set of UE capability information does not include one or more UE capabilities included in the first set of UE capability information. The BS receives the first and second UE capability information.
Abstract:
Disclosed are techniques for transmitting bundles of silence indicator (SID) frames during a voice call among a plurality of access terminals. In an aspect, a source access terminal detects a transition to a silence state, generates, in response to detection of the transition, at least a first bundle of SID frames, wherein each SID frame of the at least the first bundle of SID frames includes data representing comfort noise to be played at one or more target access terminals of the plurality of access terminals during the silence state, and transmits the at least the first bundle of SID frames to a base station serving the source access terminal. In an aspect, the base station receives the at least the first bundle of SID frames, and periodically forwards SID frames of the at least the first bundle of SID frames to the one or more target access terminals.
