    Abstract: An energy efficient and quiet air cooling system for a building structure is provided. The air cooling system includes an evaporator system mounted in the wall of the building, a remotely mounted fan, an air intake, and a sound and heat insulating duct. The fan is mounted in the attic and configured to draw air from the living area of the building through the sound insulating duct with sufficient power to create a negative static pressure in the living area. The negative static pressure in turn causes outside air to flow through the evaporator system which removes heat from the outside air. The cooled air is in turn drawn into the building and pulled into the attic through the duct and expelled through the attic. The fan expels warm air into the attic, creating a positive pressure environment which causes the warm air to be expelled from the attic through natural vents.

    Abstract: A fresh-air cooling system and methods of cooling a building structure with the same are provided. The system has an exterior interface assembly, a damper, a register, a duct, and a motorized fan. The exterior interface assembly is connected to the register by the duct and provides a flow path for air outside the building to enter the duct. The motorized fan is disposed in an attic of the building structure and pulls air into the attic from a living space to create a negative static pressure in the living space. The damper is positioned along the flow path from the exterior interface assembly to the living space and opens to allow air outside the building structure to enter the living space in response to motorized fan creating in the living space a negative static pressure that exceeds the cracking pressure of the damper. The cracking pressure of the damper can be adjusted to control the flow rate of outside air through the damper.

    Abstract: An automated cooling system and method for energy efficient use with a building structure by adjusting operational parameters is provided. The automated cooling system can adjust operational parameters in response to conditions (e.g., temperature, humidity) detected by sensors located at one or more strategically selected locations inside or outside the building structure. The automated cooling system can ramp speeds of a motor that rotates fan blades in response to changes in the air temperature in the building structure so as to maintain a desired temperature without switching on and off the motor to preserve fan blade inertia.

    Abstract: An attic fan assembly having a cover, a housing, and a flashing. The housing having a first opening, a second opening, and a sidewall positioned between the openings. The sidewall having a plurality of apertures that can be positioned in a variety of configurations. A motor and fan blade assembly can be located within the housing. The flashing and the cover of the attic fan assembly can be removably attached to the housing. The flashing can be used to secure the attic fan assembly to the roof of a structure.
